Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Freedom to Dance website collects, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and what rights you have in relation to it. Last updated: 21 August 2026.

Who Processes Your Data

Data submitted through this website is processed by the team organising the Freedom to Dance festival — Hristina Lalova (Dancing Time) and Eng. Nickolay Jordanov (PROdance). For questions about your personal data, email freedomtodance@abv.bg .

What Data We Collect

The only place on the website that collects personal data is the contact form on the Contact page. It sends your name, email address and message text directly to the organisers. We do not store this data in a website database — it is forwarded by email and remains only in the recipient's mailbox.

Why and on What Legal Basis

Data from the form is used solely to respond to your question or enquiry. The legal basis is your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — GDPR).

Retention

Messages are kept in the organisers' mailbox for as long as needed for correspondence about your enquiry — usually no longer than 12 months after the last contact, unless a longer period is required by law.

Cookies and Third Parties

The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. To measure traffic, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a service that does not set cookies and does not collect visitors' personal data.

The website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser connects to Google LLC servers, which receive your IP address — a technical requirement for delivering the fonts, separate from the contents of the contact form.

Your Rights

  • Access to the data we process about you;
  • Correction of inaccurate data;
  • Erasure of your data ("the right to be forgotten");
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • Lodging a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) — 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia 1592, Bulgaria, www.cpdp.bg.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at freedomtodance@abv.bg .
