This page explains what personal data is collected when registering for Christmas Magic 2026, for what purpose, and how it is processed.

Data controller

What data is collected

Each dancer's first name, last name, birth year, club, city and country, entered by the registering coach/club representative — plus the registering representative's own name, email and phone number.

Source of the data

Dancer data is entered voluntarily by the registering club representative, who confirms its accuracy with every submission.

Purpose of processing

The data is used solely for organizing and running the competition — building start lists, calculating fees due, and the secretariat's processing of results.

Data sharing

The core participation format data (name, club, class, age group, dance) is shown publicly on the "Registered participants" start list, following standard practice at dancesport competitions. Full data is also provided to the tournament secretariat for running the event. To check whether you have a profile on Dancesport Network Bulgaria, the system sends the platform, over a secure connection, only the details of your coach account — name, club, city, country, email and phone; dancers’ data is never sent. A profile there is created only if you press “Create a profile” or “Request access” yourself.

Retention period

Registration data is kept for up to 6 months after the festival (until 6 June 2027) and then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law. Published results (name, club, placing) remain part of the competition’s record. For security, the form also keeps a technical log of actions (what was added or changed, when, and from which IP address) — it is kept for the same period.

Data subjects' rights

Any dancer (or a parent/guardian for a minor dancer) has the right to access, correct, or delete the data entered — please contact the registering coach or the data controller directly at the address above.
